Facebook is using you

According to a certain article "Facebook Is Using You" the internet is tracking what you look up in your search bar, then they are placing advertisments on your social media site like Facebook, Twitter even Youtube according to what you are interested in. For example, if you are on Facebook and you update a status that says "getting married", soon in the corner of your screen there will be wedding advertisment and others thing related to getting married. That's how facebook make money, they charge you to buy things that they advertise.
But that not the only way the internet is using you. Lets say you look at something weird on google, like for example child pornography. The govenment would pay very close attention to you and maybe list you as a sex offender. Preventing you from getting a job or even going to a library. Basically any place that has to look you up on the computer. So be careful on the internet and pay attention to what you do, because you are being watched.

  1. The part about the government keeping tabs on you is not in the article and may not be true. Re-read the article again, as the biggest concern of the author has to do with decisions that might be made against you by companies. For instance, a bank may not give you a loan based on your Facebook friends.

    This is also too short.
